Teen charged after armed robbery Sunday evening


REGINA – A 16-year-old boy is facing multiple firearm-related charges after an armed robbery Sunday. At approximately 10:15 p.m. on March 6, Regina police were called to a robbery at a convenience store on the 900 block of Victoria Avenue.According to police, a man armed with a gun robbed the store then fled with a small amount of cash. The 16-year-old boy was arrested later in the evening after an investigation. The firearm believed to be involved in the robbery was also recovered by police. The teenager is facing 11 charges including armed robbery, use of firearm during commission of an indictable offence, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of a weapon. The boy cannot be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He appeared in Youth Court Monday afternoon. Follow @AlexaHGlobal
