Nate Diaz vs Conor McGregor UFC 196 Fight Odds

Conor McGregor has his career riding on the fight against Nate Diaz.

Dana White concurs with the view that McGregor is unlikely to revert to type if his welterweight tilt tonight against Diaz goes successfully.
The biggest contributing factor short of Nate Diaz taking this fight on two weeks notice is Nate Diaz’s ability to pressure his opponents.
Instead, the decision by the cocky, charismatic McGregor to step up to welterweight to fight Diaz has opened up a myriad of possible title shots. McGregor is widely expected to fight in the main event at UFC 200 in July, while Holm’s next fight was supposed to be her rematch with Ronda Rousey, who has already beaten Tate twice.
McGregor and Diaz headline Saturday’s UFC 196 in Las Vegas in a five-round, welterweight non-title fight.
Tate won the UFC bantamweight title at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, locking Holly Holm in a choke that rendered the champ apparently unconscious with 90 seconds left in the fifth round.
But what’s even more interesting is the paltry sum that Miesha Tate will leave with, even if she upsets the odds and dethrones “The Preacher’s Daughter” – Tate is on a $45,000 to show/$45,000 to win rate on Saturday night.
Following his win against Johnson, Diaz took the microphone and called out Conor McGregor in an expletive-filled rant.
Tate has been gunning for another chance at UFC gold for two years, and now she will finally get another chance to hold it.
“I feel he is repetitive and his foot patterns, he’s nearly stuck in a routine”, he told Conan. The Irish fighter is also favoured to score a TKO (-265) against the 30-year-old on fight night.
“I’ve watched some of her fights and I’ve seen her chin get tested, and I think it’s a little bit suspect”, Tate said, reports SB Nation’s MMA Fighting.
McGregor clearly is not afraid of challenges, and he is proving that weight does not define his skill as he moved up an official 23 pounds for UFC 196.
“(McGregor) punches hard”, Diaz said.
McGregor doesn’t hesitate to talk ill of Diaz, however, and he again chided the Stockton fighter as they neared each other at the weigh-in stare-down for cameras.
White did say at this point they’ve had “no conversation” with McGregor about this particular scenario playing out, but a lot more will be known after his fight with Diaz is finished.
