Bob and Jeri Prescott, the owners of Mountain View Farm, announced the opening of Mountain View Farm to the public. The Farm can be booked as a location for the celebration of special events such as weddings, reunions, holiday parties, company parties, bazaars, birthday parties and other business, or social events.
Mountain View Farm was originally built in the 19th century and was used as a full working farm for growing crops and raising cows, pigs and other domestic animals. The Farms bounty helped to sustain the Prescott family through the hard times and lean years of the 80’s after the collapse of the oil shale industry in the Grand Junction area. Mountain View Farm is centered in the magnificent Orchard Mesa region of the Grand Valley and is surrounded by mountains on all sides, making it an excellent location for a memorable wedding experience.
“Our venue features two acres of plush, grassy entertainment space that include trees, flowers and a pond that make an ideal backdrop for memorable photographs and entertainment. You will have plenty room for your guests and have the ability to set things up as you like without having to worry about space limitations. We also have a 3200 sq ft indoor facility on the property where receptions, parties or ceremonies can take place. The bride and groom can choose to have an indoor or out-door ceremony and have their reception at the same location. We really do have a lot of flexibility here”, said Jeri Prescott, co-owner of the farm.
Mountain View Farm takes pride in providing a captivating, memorable wedding day experience for couples who choose to take their vows at the farm. Jeri anticipates the farm to become one of the most sought after wedding and event venues in Western Colorado because of the ability to provide a beautiful, flexible, well customized venue to suit almost any requirement.
The well-tailored walkways, beautified gardens and extraordinary views give Mountain View Farm the quietude and romantic setting for couples to share their special wedding day with family and friends. The farm’s closeness to Grand Junction and Colorado’s natural wonders give the wedding couple and their guests the opportunity to enjoy other activities such as shopping, hiking, fishing, biking, golfing, rafting, and skiing.
