Schwarzenegger, who was in town for the Arnold Sports Festival, a giant body-building and fitness extravaganza, said he first met Kasich as a candidate for Congress in the early 1980s. Schwarzenegger, Kasich is fond of saying, advises him to “love the beatings”. He also invested in a shopping mall.

Schwarzenegger spoke of his long relationship with Central Ohio, and with Kasich, officially endorsing the Ohio Governor. Schwarzenegger says he was so impressed with Kasich that he started campaigning for his Congressional race.
(CNN) – John Kasich said Friday that he expects a contested Republican convention in July.
John Kasich’s path to win the Republican party nomination for president is a brokered convention for the GOP. That and Schwarzenegger also gave an in-person endorsement later today at a Kasich rally in OH, referring to him as an “action hero”. The latest poll of MI from American Research Group even suggested Kasich has a slight lead in the state with 33 percent of the vote to Trump’s 31 percent, scoring wins among voters over 50 and women. “For those of us who are pro-life, I think we need to be pro-life in the scope of life, and (Kasich) lives that out”. Kasich, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and other Republicans have disputed that view of what happened.
“We’re going to get some momentum out of MI, we’re going to win OH, there is going to be campaigning all across the country”. Arnold was seen sporting an official Kasich jacket while the presidential hopeful is wearing a custom coat that was given to him as a gift by the Terminator star.
Hoping for a shift of momentum with the Midwest primaries, Gov. John Kasich is putting some new energy into his campaign with a heavyweight in both the political arena and the world of entertainment. Kasich and his wife made as much as $1.3 million in 2008, his a year ago as a senior executive at the financial giant Lehman Brothers before it collapsed, parting with 27.3 percent of that income in federal taxes. On Thursday, former nominee Mitt Romney delivered a speech exclusively to tear down Trump and urge Republicans to vote for one of his opponents. He’ll watch the results of that primary Tuesday night in Columbus.
