EPL leads Leicester City held by West Brom

Speaking ahead of Leicester’s home game with West Brom on Tuesday, Ranieri said: “I think Tottenham and Arsenal are the favourites [to win the title]”.

“Of course the players were not so happy but I told my players that we are alive and we made a fantastic performance”. The Foxes are two points clear of Tottenham at the summit with just eleven games remaining. “Our objective at the end of last season was clear, to reduce the gap with the teams at the top”.
Leicester piled on the pressure in the latter stages, Shinji Okazaki heading against the bar and Foster thwarting substitute Jeff Schlupp, Vardy and Wes Morgan, but they could not find a way through.
I’ve been on the Leicester City express all season and it’s been very financially rewarding. The way they linked up was a joy to watch at times with Rondon impressing with his hold-up play and work rate, Sessegnon with his pace and vision, and Berahino with his superb finishing ability. N’Golo recovers a lot of balls but not only this, he starts the counter-attack.
While Brown’s heart says Leicester will claim the title, his head fears they will just miss out to Tottenham, who have also mounted a surprise title bid.
Danny Simpson and Andy King have returned to the Leicester City starting XI for the visit of West Bromwich Albion tonight.
Chelsea extended their unbeaten run to 12 league games with a 2-1 win at Norwich City that saw them climb from 11th place to eighth, five points below the European berths.
Ranieri, though, insisted he is not interested in their rivals’ results and paid little attention to events at White Hart Lane and Old Trafford. The midfielder, who has been filling in as a defender, will undergo a scan today to determine the severity of the problem. That would be a blow for West Brom and compounded a miserable couple of weeks for Brunt after he was struck in the face by a coin thrown by an Albion fan at the end of the FA Cup defeat at Reading. It is the same, I don’t see the title.
“So we will wait until he’s done that, then announce what is wrong with him”. “If they don’t win it then I’d love Tottenham to do it. They look strong at the moment”.
“Jonny Evans will come into it if he’s fit but basically it will be a similar team to Palace”.
“Leicester continue their title tilt at Watford on Saturday and Ranieri added: “[There is] nothing negative. “Leicester City are in some ways an old-fashioned team, the way they play, they play through the pitch quickly, they get the balls wide and they get bodies in the box”.
