Former Merseyside footballer suspended over ‘abusive tweets’ about Adam Johnson victim

In response to the conviction, EA today revealed that the player has already been removed from both the playable England roster as well as that of his domestic club Sunderland.

Johnson, 28, was found not guilty of a charge relating to a further sexual act with the girl.
Johnson was warned the starting point for his offending was five years.
A former Frankland inmate said Johnson’s fame and wealth may help.
‘He can use his money in there to make him more comfortable, or he may get extorted if he is not strong enough’.
“He will be on a favourable wing, where he doesn’t mix with the general population”.
Adam Johnson has admitted to making a “huge mistake” over his child sex crimes, telling friends he hopes his jail time will go “fast”.
He added that prisoners when he was there had the chance to play football on five-a-side pitches.
Asked if he talked about other things during their heart-to-heart, she said: ‘The other women that he cheated on me with’.
While he has been removed from the England and Sunderland football squads, he is still playable in other areas of the game, which EA Sports is working to correct.
The move followed calls from customers that the shamed 28-year-old should not be part of a game so popular with children. With the game having a variety of different modes, including the likes of Ultimate Team where players can purchase footballers for their virtual team using real cash, it’s understandable that it would be hard for them to swiftly wipe him from the entirety of Federation Internationale de Football Association 16. “In online modes, he will be removed next week”, said a spokesperson.
